Her book has been embraced by people across the political spectrum who feel desperate to find a way to move forward together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to being an author, podcast host, and popular speaker, Guzm\u00e1n is the founder and CEO of <a href=\"http:\/\/moniguzman.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reclaim Curiosity<\/a>, an organization working to build a more curious world. She is also a Senior Fellow for Public Practice at Braver Angels and serves on the Board of Directors for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.multipartisaned.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Institute for Multipartisan Education<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the inaugural McGurn Fellow at the University of Florida, Guzm\u00e1n has worked with researchers at the UF College of Journalism and Communications to find the best ways to employ the techniques described in her book to boost understanding. Her past work includes time as a fellow at the Henry M. Focused on visual art and design from 1860 to 1970, it is committed to the belief that recognizing previously neglected artists who made significant contributions to the region\u2019s cultural identity gives us a fuller and more comprehensive understanding of Northwest art history. The Writers-in-Conversation series signals the museum\u2019s desire to highlight underappreciated Northwest artists in literature as well.
